Arconic, Ex-Lawyer Who Got Covid Settle Job Discrimination Suit

Arconic Corp. and Howmet Aerospace Inc. resolved a former assistant general counsel’s lawsuit alleging he was required to work while on leave for Covid-19, denied a disability-based job accommodation, and wrongly terminated.

The US District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania entered an order Wednesday canceling all deadlines and hearings in Daniel J. Burbach Jr.'s case. That came a day after the court received a report indicating that the lawsuit was resolved during a Dec. 5 mediation session.

The case is marked administratively closed “pending the parties filing a stipulation of dismissal,” the court order said.
