Apple Accused of Spying on Workers, Restricting Their Speech (1)

Apple Inc. was hit with a lawsuit Monday from an employee who alleged the tech giant invades worker privacy by spying on their personal devices and restricting employee discussion about wages and working conditions.

The company requires employees to “waive their inalienable right to privacy and autonomy” as a condition of employment, agreeing to “physical, video, and electronic surveillance” outside of work, according to the suit filed in Santa Clara County Superior Court.
