Apple Settles With Ex-Genius Bar Manager Over Bias Claims (1)

Apple Inc. and one of its former “genius bar” managers have settled her claims that the company discriminated against her based on sex and disability, and retaliated against her after she requested a modified work schedule.

Judge Dale E. Ho of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York dismissed the case without prejudice on May 9, after being advised by Magistrate Judge Sarah L. Cave that “all claims asserted herein have been settled in principle.” The case may be reopened if a settlement isn’t completed within 30 days of the May 9 order.
