Apple Loses Bid to Throw Out Manual Worker Pay-Delay Allegations

Apple Inc. must face allegations that it paid retail store workers who perform manual labor every other week instead of weekly as required under New York law.

The technology company argued that the relevant state law doesn’t provide a private right of action or, if it does, any recovery is limited to lost interest instead of liquidated damages. But the US District Court for the Southern District of New York disagreed “on both fronts,” according to a Wednesday opinion.
