Most states’ gambling-loss recovery statutes don’t apply to the tech companies, the US District court for the Northern District of California said Tuesday.
The plaintiffs alleged social casino-style gaming apps are designed to exploit users addicted to gambling, and that the tech companies contributed to this problem by facilitating the unlawful gambling transactions.
