Apple Faces Deception Lawsuit Over Purchased iTunes Content

Apple Inc. can’t shed a proposed class suit alleging it deceptively sold movies and other content in its iTunes store but later removed purchasers’ access without warning.

Trenise McTyere and Lucille Clark sued in the US District Court for the Western District of New York, saying Apple offers rent and buy options for digital content, with the latter being more expensive. But Apple licenses some content from third parties, and revokes customer access when those licensing agreements are terminated, they said.
