A federal appeals court panel during oral arguments Wednesday pressed plaintiffs seeking to revive a data breach class action against West Technology Group LLC to show that their alleged injuries were sufficiently concrete to provide them standing to sue.
Michelle Pulliam, Marina Maudlin, and Nicole Peterson alleged in the 2022 lawsuit that West Technology negligently failed to protect the personal information of more than 86,000 people that was exposed in a breach that exposed victims’ names and Social Security numbers.
