Anviz Global Inc. collected and stored the face scans of Illinois residents through its biometric timekeeping system in violation of the state’s Biometric Information Privacy Act, a proposed federal class action said.
Keesha Steptour alleged that Anviz collected her face scans when she clocked into and out of work while she was employed for a company that used an Anviz timekeeping system.
