Washington Attorney General Robert Ferguson (D) must be stopped from conducting an investigation that selectively and unlawfully targets anti-abortion medical groups, a new complaint says.
Obria Group Inc. and My Choices sued the state’s chief legal officer Wednesday, seeking to halt an inquiry that, they say, was prompted by Ferguson’s “fervent advocacy for abortion” and hostility toward pregnancy resource centers operated by Christian groups.
Ferguson confirmed that the office is investigating Obria.
The attorney general is “deeply concerned about any effort to deceive pregnant Washingtonians about their reproductive health care options,” Feguson said in an email.
