An Anker Innovations Technology Co. subsidiary filed suit seeking a ruling that its AnkerMake M5C 3-D printer doesn’t infringe a patent held by Slice Engineering LLC.
Fantasia Trading LLC, doing business as AnkerDirect, filed the declaratory judgment action Wednesday in the US District Court for the Western District of Washington.
AnkerDirect sells its products on Amazon.com. In August 2023, Amazon notified AnkerDirect that it had received a report from Slice, claiming that its 3D printer infringes Slice’s copyright for “Adaptable High-Performance Extrusion Head for Fused Filament Fabrication Systems.”
