Anheuser-Busch Exits Veza Sur Beer Deceptive Marketing Suit

Anheuser-Busch Co. and Miami Beer Ventures LLC shed a proposed class action alleging they deceptively say their Veza Sur beer comes from a “Miami-born craft brewery with Latin-American roots,” after a Florida federal court said the plaintiffs failed to show the marketing is misleading.

Bryon Jackson and Mario Mena Jr. alleged Veza Sur “pretends” to be a specialty craft beer made by the Veza Sur Brewing Company in Miami, when it’s just another of the dozens of brands made by the largest brewer in the world and some is brewed by another company at a different location.
