Android Users Urge Court to Revive Google Data-Transfers Fight

Android users are asking a federal appeals court to revive their proposed class action alleging that Google LLC illegally consumes the cellular data they have purchased from their cellular providers.

Google has secretly programmed the Android operating system to send and receive large amounts of data to and from the Alphabet Inc. unit using the cellular data owned by Android users, the plaintiffs told the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in an opening brief filed Wednesday.
