Andrew Cuomo Accuser Denied Early Judgment in Harassment Suit

A New York judge denied former Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s (D) staffer’s bid for an early victory in her sexual harassment lawsuit, concluding further discovery is needed.

Granting summary judgment now without allowing the state to defend itself through depositionswould be too early, Judge Mary V. Rosado said Wednesday in a decision and order that was docketed Thursday. Rosado denied Charlotte Bennett’s April motion for summary judgment in the Supreme Court for the State of New York.
