Analog Devices Settles in Ex-Employee’s Gender Disparity Lawsuit

Analog Devices Inc. has settled with a former sales specialist who said a manager discriminated against her and the company retaliated against her for reporting it.

After less than a month working with the male manager, he put specialist Donna Thornton on an unwarranted performance improvement plan with the goal of finding some pretext to fire her, she said. She told HR she believed the manager treated her unfairly compared to the men on the gender-imbalanced team. Thornton was later fired for what Analog Devices said was poor performance.
