Ametek Settles Female Manager’s Gender Discrimination Lawsuit

Ametek Inc. has resolved gender bias claims brought by a female finance manager who was passed over for a promotion in favor of a male coworker.

The US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania dismissed Amy Brown’s claims Monday at the request of the parties. The terms of the settlement are not stated in the docket and counsel didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.
