American Airlines, Uniform Maker Defeat Toxicity Defect Suit

American Airlines Group Inc. and clothing manufacturer Twin Hill Acquisition Co. won summary judgment in a proposed class action alleging uniforms launched in 2016 had harmful chemicals that caused rashes, headaches, hives, and other symptoms.

The pilots, flight attendants, and customer service agents didn’t establish that their Twin Hill uniforms contained defects that caused the alleged harm, the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois said April 11.
