Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Service Inc. failed to protect the personal information of more than 858,000 people that was exposed in a May 2023 data breach, a proposed federal class action said.
Kirkston Spann II alleged that Superior breached its duties under common law, the Federal Trade Commission Act, and HIPAA to implement reasonable data-security measures, comply with industry standards and federal regulations, and provide timely and adequate notice of the breach.
