Amazon Wage Class Settlement for $3 Million Gets Final Approval

A non-reversionary $3 million Amazon.com Services Inc. settlement resolving claims the company failed to pay overtime wages and provide accurate wage statements won final approval in an order filed Friday.

The US District Court for the Eastern District of California approved the deal and class counsel’s request for $1 million in attorneys’ fees in an order signed Thursday. Magistrate Judge Barbara A. McAuliffe said the benchmark for class counsel’s attorneys’ fees, 25% or $750,000 in this case, deserved an upward adjustment.
