Amazon Sues Consumer Product Safety Commission Over Recall Order

Amazon.com Inc.. sued the Consumer Product Safety Commission Friday over a July 2024 order requiring the e-commerce giant to carry out a wide-ranging recall of dangerous products that were manufactured and sold by third parties.

The commission’s order involved more than 400,000 defective products sold by third-party vendors through the Fulfilled by Amazon program, including children’s clothing that violated flammability standards, faulty carbon monoxide detectors, and hairdryers lacking adequate electrocution protection.
