Amazon Claims Piracy Group Copied ‘Lord of the Rings’ (2)

Amazon Techs. Inc. is going after a global network of alleged piracy websites for infringing its copyright and trademark, according to a complaint filed Tuesday.

Amazon alleges the websites “openly sell pirated and infringing DVDs containing unauthorized copies” of the Amazon series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, which is only available to stream through Amazon Prime Video, alongside other non-Amazon properties it tested internally through its Counterfeit Crimes Unit.
