Amazon Nabs Pre-Trial Win in Warehouse Worker Screening Pay Case

Amazon.com Inc. defeated allegations that it owes warehouse workers pay for time spent undergoing mandatory security screenings after a federal judge ruled the time isn’t compensable.

US Supreme Court precedent blocks the warehouse workers’ federal wage claims against the online retail giant and two related entities, and state law requires the same outcome for the other portions of their suit, the US District Court for the District of Connecticut said Wednesday.
