Amazon Gets Respite in Warehouse Worker Sex Discrimination Suit

An Amazon.com Inc. subsidiary is tentatively free of a class-action discrimination lawsuit alleging its warehouse productivity policies have a disparate impact on women.

The would-be class complaint didn’t sufficiently identify a specific employment practice that harmed women more than other groups of workers, the US District Court for the Northern District of California said Tuesday. The court gave the lead plaintiff until Feb. 29 to file an amended complaint with more details to support her claims.
