Amazon.com Inc. and Cartier International AG’s will be awarded damages and injunctive relief against a third-party seller that failed to respond to their suit over allegedly selling counterfeit products, a federal judge ruled.
The two companies sued Whatsofun Inc. asserting claims of trademark infringement and violations of the Washington Consumer Protection Act—among other related claims—for allegedly selling counterfeit Cartier-branded rings on Amazon’s online store that directly infringed four trademarks owned by Cartier.
