Amazon Beats Class Certification in Flex Drivers’ Tip Lawsuit

Amazon.com Inc. defeated its Flex drivers’ bid to certify a class of more than 150,000 in a suit alleging the tech giant failed to hand over all delivery tips to workers as promised.

The proposed class of drivers failed to show that a class action was the superior method of litigation, falling short of Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 23(b)(3)'s superiority requirement, Judge Barbara J. Rothstein said in an order Tuesday for the US District Court for the Western District of Washington.
