Amazon Alleges Scammers Dupe Prime Customers With Fake Services

Amazon.com Inc. filed trademark infringement claims in two federal courts against alleged scammers pretending to provide technical support for Amazon Prime Video, inducing customers to purchase fake support services.

Elly Infotech LLC is named as the defendant in a lawsuit filed in the US District Court for the District of Arizona on Nov. 9. A separate suit filed the same day in the US District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina names Code Connect Solutions LLC, Link Code Solutions LLC, 50 unnamed defendants, and Abul Q. Ansari.
