Altec Lansing Trademark Owner Revives Speaker Lawsuit on Appeal

AL Infinity LLC will get a second chance to pursue trademark infringement claims against online marketplace Crown Cell Inc. for selling what it says are counterfeit Altec Lansing-branded speakers.

Crown Cell’s argument that its supplier and a Chinese manufacturer were at one point authorized to sell and produce Altec Lansing speakers “does not conclusively rebut AL Infinity’s sworn statement” that the products were manufactured without authorization, the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit said in a Tuesday opinion.
