AL Infinity LLC, which owns the trademark for Altec Lansing products, saw its four remaining causes of action against an alleged infringer dismissed because it didn’t show that the products in dispute were counterfeit, a New York federal court said.
AL Infinity accused the online retailer, Crown Cell Inc., of selling counterfeit Altec Lansing speakers. AL Infinity originally filed five claims against Crown Cell, its founder, and an employee, alleging trademark counterfeiting, trademark infringement, injury to business reputation, deceptive trade practices, and unfair competition.
