ALN Medical to Pay $4 Million to Settle Data-Breach Class Action

ALN Medical Management LLC would pay $4 million under a proposed deal to settle a lawsuit alleging it negligently failed to protect the personal information of 1.8 million people in a 2024 data breach.

Class members would be eligible for reimbursement of up to $5,000 in documented losses related to the breach, or an alternate cash payment estimated at around $50, according to the plaintiffs’ motion for preliminary settlement approval filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the District of Nebraska. The deal is subject to approval by Judge Susan M. Bazis.
