Allied Universal Security Services collected, stored, and disclosed the biometric information of employees without their consent in violation of the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, a proposed federal class action said.
Bianca Allen, a former security guard for Allied, alleged that the company required her to provide a face scan for timekeeping and location-tracking purposes during her employment, but failed to meet BIPA’s notification and consent requirements before collecting and using her biometric information.
