Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America was sued by a Texas citizen seeking to represent a nationwide class of those impacted by a data breach announced by the carrier earlier this month.
The majority of Allianz Life’s 1.4 million customers, as well as financial professionals and some employees, were victims of a cyberattack that targeted a third-party, cloud-based system, Bloomberg News reported on July 26. Simeon Taylor sued Monday saying he’s one of those customers.
