Allegheny Health Network has settled race bias allegations brought by a Black contract nurse who also claimed her boss tried to prevent her from visiting with her terminally ill grandmother.
The health care provider and Ariel Sitter filed a joint stipulation to end the nurse’s lawsuit to the US District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. The parties agreed on Monday to dismiss the case with prejudice, though they haven’t provided settlement details.
