All-Clad Cookware Class Settlement Gets Judge’s Final Approval

All-Clad Metalcrafters LLC, Groupe SEB USA Inc., and consumers alleging the companies deceptively marketed cookware as “dishwasher-safe” secured a federal judge’s final approval of a class settlement providing $4 million and replacement products.

Judge J. Nicholas Ranjanof the US District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania also allowed the attorneys’ requested fee of $1.9 million, but held back part of the award until the claims process is complete.

Consumers alleged the cookware, which can cost as much as $500 for one piece, degrades after dishwasher use, creating exposed sharp edges.
