All-Clad Agrees to $4 Million Settlement in Cookware Litigation

All-Clad Metalcrafters LLC and Groupe SEB USA Inc. have agreed to pay up to $4 million to resolve claims alleging they deceptively marketed high-end cookware as dishwasher-safe, according to a filing seeking the first nod for a nationwide class settlement.

Jean Greeff, Carol Egidio, Beira Montalvo, Miranda Murray, and Brandi Milford allege All-Clad’s multi-ply stainless-steel pots, pans, and skillets degrade after dishwasher use. This creates exposed sharp edges as a result of the aluminum layers deteriorating, they say.
