Aldi ‘Sustainable’ Salmon Label Class Claims Mostly Advance

A New York woman can proceed with most of a proposed class action alleging that Aldi deceptively markets its salmon as sustainably sourced, a federal court in Illinois said.

Jessica Rawson stated claims that the nationwide grocery store chain violated two New York laws by falsely leading reasonable consumers to believe its Atlantic salmon products are produced in ways that minimize their environmental impact, the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois said.
