Aldi Hit With False-Ad Suit Over ‘100% Pure Avocado Oil’ Claims

Aldi Inc. was accused in a proposed class action in federal district court in New York of falsely advertising its Simply Nature avocado oil as “100% Pure Avocado Oil” when the product is adulterated with other, cheaper oils.

Maggie Frost sued the supermarket chain Wednesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, alleging the grocery chain’s front label and ingredients list suggest that refined avocado oil is the only ingredient.
