Alcohol Promotion Models Seek Preliminary Approval of Wage Deal

A group of alcohol promotion models has asked a California federal judge for preliminary approval of a wage-and-hour settlement with two marketing companies.

The part-time promotional specialists sued Team Enterprises LLC and New Team LLC, alleging they weren’t properly paid for hours worked and certain tasks completed without pay, according to the preliminary settlement motion filed Jan. 19.

The marketing companies attempted to get the suit tossed last July, but Judge William Alsup of the US District Court for the Northern District of California declined to do so.
