CraftShack, an online alcohol marketplace, accused two other alcohol sale sites of using CraftShack’s copyrighted beer and wine photos without permission.
CraftShack says it has created “immense value for itself and its customers” through its “stylized” and standardized photos of alcohol products, which include specialty IPAS. Unlike other online alcohol marketplaces, its photos have consistent, user-friendly looks, the complaint filed in the US District Court for the Central District of California says.
CraftShack alleges that BottleCapps.com and RobertBurnsWines.com used CraftShack’s photos on their own alcohol marketplace websites without CraftShack’s approval.
