Alacer Must Face Deception Claims Over Emergen-C Supplements

Labeling statements on some Emergen-C gummies could mislead consumers about how many must be taken to achieve the stated dose, a California federal court said, advancing proposed class claims against Alacer Corp.

Jeffrey Cimoli alleges the front label of the Vitamin C Gummies represents that the product contains 750 mg of Vitamin C. The front label of the Elderberry Gummies meanwhile says that the product is “[c]rafted with 50 mg of elderberry juice concentrate.”
