An Alabama high school student’s lawsuit accusing his school district and football coach of violating his civil rights for failing to prevent sexualized hazing rituals was revived by a federal appeals court Wednesday.
The US Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit said the student made a sufficient showing of sexual harassment as defined by Title IX when his football teammates attempted to insert a car key into his anus as part of a longstanding hazing ritual.
