The estate of a former Airgas US LLC worker allegedly fired for testing positive for a legal hemp product he used to treat cancer-related pain has reached a settlement with the company, counsel for the estate said in a court filing.
Murray Fisher asserted disability discrimination and other claims under Ohio law, alleging that the company terminated him when a third-party drug test returned positive for marijuana, which he said could’ve been a false positive caused by the hemp product.
