AI Platform ASAPP Sued for Intercepting JetBlue Patron Calls (1)

JetBlue’s relationship with ASAPP Inc. is at the center of a lawsuit brought by a California resident who said he didn’t consent to being recorded by the AI customer-service platform.

Robert Milton filed the proposed class action against ASAPP in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, saying that the company performed AI analysis on conversations he had with the airline. JetBlue isn’t a party to the suit.

ASAPP’s website highlights its business with JetBlue, saying that its generative AI saved crewmembers and customers time on customer support matters.
