AI Call Center Company Sued By Human Worker For Missed Wages

An AI marketing company has been hit with a proposed class action from a call center worker in Texas who says it failed to pay her minimum wage and overtime pay.

Monarchy Media called Karla Sicaeros a contractor for tax purposes, she said in a complaint, but otherwise put her on “the usual path of employer-employee relationships.” Monarchy knew that she and her colleagues were treated as employees but were not compensated as employees in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act and Texas law, she said.
