Aenergy Dispute Over Power Plant Contracts Belongs in Angola (1)

Aenergy SA and Combined Cycle Power Plant Soyo SA must bring their dispute with the Angolan government and General Electric Co. over canceled power plant contracts before that country’s courts, the Second Circuit affirmed Wednesday.

Aenergy says Angola breached its contract and took four of its turbines in violation of New York state and international law. GE also allegedly interfered with its contracts and its potential business relations in violation of New York law, the company argued.
