Advent Attempts to Keep Mexican Funeral Chain Fight in Delaware

A dispute in Delaware’s business court between private equity firm Advent International Corp. and the buyers of a funeral service provider should be dismissed because it’s already being litigated in other venues, including a US federal court, attorney David Boies argued Thursday.

Boies, representing Servicios Funerarios GG SA de CV, said the Chancery Court lacks subject matter jurisdiction to wade into the conflict over his client’s acquisition of Mexican funeral service provider Gayosso from Advent in 2021.
