A Virginia man indicted for allegedly running a prostitution ring failed to convince a federal judge to suppress evidence obtained from his account on an adult entertainment advertising website in a warrantless search.
The government’s acquisition of the account’s records isn’t an illegal trespass of Brian Lamont Turner’s digital property, the US District Court for the Western District of Virginia ruled Thursday. The court previously ruled that Turner lacked a reasonable expectation of privacy in the adult website account.
