Adobe Inc. was hit with a lawsuit by a former assistant vice president who says he was discriminated against and subjected to retaliation based on his race and color in violation of federal and state employment laws.

Robert Winstead says his supervisor frequently harassed and discriminated against him because of his race, including comparing his appearance to a cartoon character, making derogatory comments about his hair, yelling at him, and imposing higher performance quotas on him compared to white employees, according to the lawsuit filed Oct. 25 in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida
