Two executives at the Adderall telehealth startup Done Global Inc. were arrested Thursday by federal authorities on charges of committing fraud in their scheme to distribute the attention deficit hyperativity disorder drug over the internet.
Done founder and CEO Ruthia He, and clinical president David Brody, arranged the prescription of over 40 million Adderall pills and other stimulants and obtained more than $100 million in revenue through fraudulent health care practices, the federal indictment said.
It’s the Justice Department’s first criminal drug distribution prosecution of a telemedicine provider, according to a department press statement.
