AdaptHealth Settles Investors’ Revenue Lawsuit for $35 Million

AdaptHealth Corp. has agreed to pay $35 million to settle investor class claims that it concealed a fraudulent billing scheme and poor merger integrations, according to federal court filings.

The accord should be approved as fair, reasonable, and adequate, the investors told the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania on Dec. 19. In addition to the risks of further litigation, the plaintiffs faced the uncertainty of AdaptHealth’s ability to pay a larger judgment in light of insurance limits and “potential concerns about the Company’s financial condition,” they said.
