Adam & Eve Operator Defeats Privacy Suit Over Google Analytics

The operator of Adam & Eve, which sells adult toys, defeated a proposed class action from a consumer who alleged it used Google’s Analytics tool to track his activities on its website.

“Federal courts are inundated with complaints aimed at the ubiquitous practice of tracking the behavior of internet users,” Judge John F. Murphy, of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania said. The plaintiff failed to demonstrate he had standing to bring this one or that the court could exercise personal jurisdiction over Adam & Eve’s operator, PHE Inc., dismissing the case without prejudice.
