Activision Judge Asked to Pause Case Until Turf Fight Resolved

California’s civil rights agency asked a judge to pause proceedings in the U.S. government’s case against embattled game maker Activision Blizzard Inc. while the state appeals a ruling blocking it from challenging the federal settlement.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and California’s Department of Fair Employment and Housing, which are both suing the video gaming company over allegations of sexual harassment and discrimination, have vastly different interests, the DFEH told Judge Dale S. Fischer of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
